Coraline (2009) fails the Ko test with 2 out of 3 of the criteria observed. There are two minor women of color in this film. They are: Wybie’s great aunt, who appears as a ghost but is revealed to be a person of color in her human life (speaks in three scenes and appears on-screen in two); and Wybie’s grandmother (speaks in four scenes and appears on-screen in one).
